The commercial IDE written in Eiffel

A few days ago, writing about Eiffel applications for non-Eiffelists, I said
Just imagine if ... Java programmers were using an IDE written using Eiffel!
Well there are some Ruby programmers that are using an IDE written in Eiffel.

Scriptolutions produces the Arachno Ruby IDE, a "professional Integrated Development Environment for the fantastic Ruby programming language". The personal version is $29, and there's a free 30 day trial available.
Arachno Ruby is written using SmartEiffel, which is credited (as SmallEiffel) in their FAQ:
We found that the best tool for writing large applications is a good high level programming language. Because of this we have choosen GNU Smalleiffel We also use the Open Source FOX GUI Toolkit for our User Interface.
The site includes screenshots and a full feature list. There are also IDEs for Python, PHP and Perl, apparently in a stalled state of development.

Scriptolutions was founded in 2005 by Arachno developer Lothar Scholz. It is a small, privately held company based in Beckum, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany. Many of us will know Lothar from his regular commentary in comp.lang.eiffel, where it is apparent that he is sometimes having a "rough ride" with Eiffel.
